Roger Ramsey

Roger Ramsey was born February 26, 1940 in Mogadore, Ohio. He died September 29, 2021 in Akron, Ohio at the age of 81 as the result of injuries sustained from a car accident.

Roger graduated with a degree in Fine Arts from the Akron Art Institute. He had a very successful career in industrial design at Louis & Partners and at Babcock & Schmid Associates. He designed products for the USA, Switzerland, and South America. He was a man of quality and “fine taste” who enjoyed design, good cars, photography, remodeling his home, music, and his many pets throughout the years. He will be deeply missed.

He was proud of his wife, Pat, of nearly 40 years, his daughters Lori (Jeff) Jaryga, Becky (Jim) Durdak, and his son, Gavin (Elizabeth). His grandchildren Drew, Halle, Matt, and Nick were his rays of sunshine. He was preceded in death by his brother, Tony (Maryann), his niece, Sandy (Howard) Henry, his mother, Louise Ramsey (Joe) Sabo, and his father, Tom.

Funeral service will at 12 PM on Wednesday October 6, 2021 at Billow Funeral Home, 85 N. Miller Road Fairlawn, OH 44333. Family and friends may visit from 10-12 PM on Wednesday prior to the service. Burial will take place at West Richfield Cemetery.
