Ronald Theodore Malak passed away due to the coronavirus on May 17, 2020. Ron was born in Cleveland, Ohio on May 9, 1936. He served in the U.S. Army and then attended college in Michigan, where he studied drafting and design. He worked at United Steel as a draftsman.
Ron was a very active person who enjoyed life. He enjoyed travel and spent time biking in Europe. He loved music and sang in numerous choirs throughout his life. Ron also loved to dance, snow ski and skate. He shared his hobbies with his nieces, teaching them how to ski and to appreciate music. He enjoyed studying his ancestry and maintained a connection with extended family throughout his life.
Ron is survived by his brother, Gerald (JoAnn); sister, Christine (Alan) along with his nieces and nephew. He was preceded in death by his father, Theodore Malak; mother, Mae (Moczadlo); sister, Patricia; and great-nephew, Jacob.
Ron’s nieces had the honor of caring for him during his final years. They wish to thank The Village of St. Edward Nursing Home, Fairlawn, for the excellent care they gave to their uncle. Donations can be made to the Village of St. Edward Nursing Home , Fairlawn in Ron’s honor.
