Rosemarie J Kurtz

After a lengthy and challenging bone marrow disease, Rosemarie Kurtz passed away on May 30, 2024. She was preceded in death by her parents John and Violet Kurtz, ten dogs, ten cats, and several pet chickens. She is survived by beloved cousin, best friend, caregiver, and "earth" angel Joan Sheplin as well as beloved pets Tristan and Emma. As a person of deep faith and a child of God, she is happy to be reunited with all loved ones in eternity, in the presence of God.

She won the Pindy Wagner bowling scholarship to the University of Akron and completed her degree there. She taught fourth and fifth grades at Firestone Park Elementary School and went on to become a guidance counselor at Innes Junior High School.

She was an avid hiker, golfer, reader, and sports enthusiast and also enjoyed antiquing, gardening, decorating, pet rescue, and dog agility. She was blessed for many years to spend six months annually at her Sarasota and Bradenton area homes.

At her request, a private service will be held with entombment at Rose Hill Burial Park.
