Ruperto "Pert" Conwi

Ruperto “Pert” Conwi , born on March 27, 1938, in Manila, Philippines to Felisa and Julian Conwi, passed away on Monday, August 26 after battling Alzheimer’s.
The eldest of six, Pert assumed family responsibilities at 17-years old following his father's sudden death. He worked hard to support his siblings through college, earning a BS in Accounting.
In 1965, he married Pilar Lacson, and together they had two sons, Ronnie and Ramil. In 1972, he moved his family to the U.S. to escape martial law, creating opportunities for his sons' futures. He continued his accounting career in the states and worked for the same company for over 30 years until retirement.

Pert is survived by his sister Ellen Brenneman, brothers Roland and Julian Conwi, son Ronnie Conwi and Shari Conwi with daughters Emily and Olivia, as well as son Ramil Conwi and Amy Conwi with their sons Ethan and Luke. Preceding him in death were his parents, brother Eddie, and sister Lucy.

He will be remembered for his dedication, kindness, loyalty, and love for friends and family, with his legacy living on through his sons and grandchildren.

A celebration of his life will be scheduled at a future date.
