Ruth J. Berus, 81, died Oct. 19, 2013.
A graduate of Garfield High School and Akron City Hospital School of Nursing, she was a member of Concordia Lutheran Church. Ruth's passion in life was her family, friends, and traveling the world.
Preceded in death by twin sister, Rita Sheehan; and brothers, Richard and Robert Hagmeyer; she is survived by husband of 57 years, Edward R.; children, Cindy K., Diane L. Fick, and Edward J,; granddaughter, Ashley Carroll; sisters, Mary Basford and Judy Barcy; brother-in-law, Bill Berus; and many cherished nieces and nephews.
Services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday at Concordia Lutheran Church with Rev. Robert W. Tauscher, Jr. officiating. Entombment at Rose Hill Burial Park. Friends may call Tuesday 4-7 p.m. at the Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel, 85 N. Miller Rd. Should friends desire, memorials may be made to Concordia Lutheran Church, 724 Sumner St., Akron, OH 44311.
