Ruth Elizabeth Cook, 98, died Jan. 24, 2019.
Ruth was a member of Bath Church, United Church of Christ, Billow Chapter #483 Order of Eastern Star, Kadesh Court, and was an avid supporter of the Boy Scouts of America.
Preceded in death by parents, Paul and Etta Zeisig; husband of 59 years, Ray; and son, John P. Cook; she is survived by daughter-in-law, Marge Cook; granddaughter, Cate Cook Green (Jonathan) of Atlanta; great grandson, John Jackson Green; special niece and nephew, Janet and Joseph Santos of Raleigh, N.C.; and great nieces, Cheryl (Frank) Andrassy and Cathryn (Jim) Thompson of Raleigh, N.C.
The family gives special thanks to Dr. Melodie Phillips, Interim Healthcare and Crossroad Hospice for the care they gave to Ruth.
A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday in the Historic Chapel at Bath Church, U.C.C., with Rev. Maureen Webber officiating. Private interment at Chestnut Hill Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Great Trail Council Boy Scouts of America, 4500 Hudson Dr., Stow, OH 44224 or Bath Church, U.C.C., 3980 W. Bath Rd., Akron, OH 44333.
