``TOGETHER FOREVER' Ruth Mary Derks Ruth Mary Derks, 82, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, September 20, 2011 at Grand Strand Regional Medical Center in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. She was preceded by her husband, Ralph, who died September 22, 2009. They had been married for 65 years. She will be interred with her husband, Ralph at the Rose Hill Burial Park in Fairlawn Ohio. She leaves behind four children; nine grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. She will be remembered as the world's best cook and pie maker by hundreds of Mormon Missionaries over the last six decades. She will also be remembered for her strong will and willingness to sacrifice for her grandchildren, her love of reading and her compassion for animals. Ruth was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Akron First Ward for many years. Services will be held at 1 p.m., Tuesday at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 735 N. Revere Rd., Akron with Bishop Paul Stark officiating. Entombment at Rose Hill Burial Park. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Summa at P.O. Box 2090, Akron, Ohio 44398.
