Ruth (Avem) Maahs

Ruth (Avem) Maahs, 96, passed away April 16, 2012 in Boynton Beach, Florida.

Born in Akron, Ruth had received her Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from The University of Akron, was a member of the Alpha Delta Pi Sorority and a lifetime member of Zion Lutheran Church.

Preceded in death by husband, Robert H. Maahs, she is survived by daughter, Patricia Ann Maahs of Boynton Beach, Fla. and son, Donald Maahs of Akron.

Services will be held 1 p.m. WEDNESDAY, April 25th at the Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel, 85 N. Miller Rd., with Rev. Joshua A. Schoon officiating. Interment at Rose Hill Burial Park. Friends may call one hour prior to the service on WEDNESDAY at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Zion Lutheran Church, 139 S. High Street, Akron 44308.
