Ruth Noll Silver of Akron died Jan. 4, 2014. She was 92.
Born in Canton on Sept. 20, 1921, she was a true leader of her family. Ruth was a clear thinker who remained calm in times of crisis. Her home was a place of warmth and great food. Wherever she lived was home base for her family. Her calm manner, gentle blue eyes, and wisdom will be missed. She enjoyed the simple pleasures of card games, puzzles, sweepstakes, gardening, and Bingo.

She and her late husband, Jack Silver raised her beloved sister, Shirley Davis of Arizona as their own.
Services will be held 10 a.m. Thursday in the mausoleum chapel of Rose Hill Burial Park. There are no calling hours. Shiva will be from 1-8 p.m. in Twinsburg.
