On the evening of December 17, 2014, Ruth decided it was time to be with her beloved husband, daughter, brother and granddaughter.
Ruth was born in Ellenboro, WV on September 23, 1926 and passed away at the age of 88 years young. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother and really looked forward to spending time with friends and family. Ruth had a great life, she retired from Com Doc after 30 years, also worked for the Election Board on Election Day and loved to help out different charities. She will be sorely missed by all the people around her. Ruth was a resident of Falls Village and the family would love to thank the special people who took care of her.
Preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Charles Wanzie, Sr.; daughter, Cheryl (Wanzie) Koppe; granddaughter, Tracey Steele and brother, Ralph Robinson. Ruth is survived by a lot of great people around her like Don Fehr; son, Chuck (Beverly) Wanzie; grandchildren, William (Angela) Steele, Matt (Emily) Koppe, Mike (Renee) Koppe and Tiffany (Josh) Justice; great grandchildren, Leanna (Bryan Humes) Mancini, Tracy Wilson, Luciana and Elise Koppe, Grayson Koppe, Lauren Justice, Brynlee and Tyler Humes; special nieces, Chris Box, Kim Arny and Deana Wanzie; also other nieces and nephews and extended family and friends.
Calling hours will be held on SUNDAY, December 21st from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel, 85 N. Miller Rd. Chapel.Committal services will be held MONDAY, December 22nd at 3 p.m. at Rose Hill Burial Park in the Mausoleum Chapel. Burial will immediately follow. (Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel)
