Sami El-Ghazal, age 84, of Cuyahoga Falls died November 24, 2021 with his family by his side. Sami was born in Machghara, Lebanon on May 15, 1937. He graduated from high school in 1955. He was the owner and operator of a family-owned leather factory in Machghara. Later in life, he immigrated with his family to the United States, residing in Cuyahoga Falls.
Mr. El-Ghazal was preceded in death by his parents; Yousef and Marie El-Ghazal; and his sisters, Georgette Hajjar and Norma Karam. He is survived by his wife, Rosita; sister, Leila Abboud; brother, Ramez El-Ghazal; three children, Joseph El-Ghazal (Michelene), Jad El-Ghazal (Danielle), and Lina Ghazal (Michael); three grandchildren, Lodi Koenig (Justin), Jad El-Ghazal, Jr., and Gabrielle El-Ghazal; and great-grandchild Reign Koenig.
Calling hours 10:00 a.m. SATURDAY November 27th at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, 1905 Portage Trail, Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44223. Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Fr. James Singler officiating. Calling hours one hour prior at the church. Interment at Chestnut Hill Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church.
