Samuel S. Dickson, 76, went home to be with the Lord on November 29, 2017 after battling cancer. He was born in Portsmouth, VA.
Preceded in death by his parents, Samuel and Sara Young Dickson; sisters, Louise Woolsey, Polly Lou DeTello and Sara Weber and many nieces and nephews; he is survived by his friend and companion, Mary Schaffer; children, Mary Hemminger (Tiffany), Tim Dickson (Becky), Robbyn Smith (Karl Kuhn); grandchildren, Sara and Elyse Hemminger, Kelsey Watson (Andy), Ryan Noriega, Megan Smith, Sherri Dye and Wendy Neyman; and great-grandchildren.
Services will be held 11 a.m. TUESDAY at the Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel, 85 N. Miller Rd. Interment at Bath Center Cemetery. Friends may call MONDAY from 5-8 P.M. In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to the American Cancer Society via the Family Relay for Life Team at main.acsevents.org/goto/Dickson or by sending a check made out to the American Cancer Society.
