Sandra J Smith

Sandra J. Smith left this world peacefully to be with Jesus on December 23,2023 at the age of 82.  Sandra was born on November 23, 1941 in Akron, OH to Alexander (Sandy) and Helen Smith, both who preceded her in death.  She is survived by family Cindy and Denny Hiser, Cristy Belknap (daughter Mia), Tim and Brannyn Hiser (children Owen, Everett, Colton, and Emma) along with many other loving family members and friends.

Sandra was a dedicated employee of Weaver Industries with 58 years of service, retiring in 2017.  She was known for being the best dressed and hardest worker at her shop.  Sandra attended Maranatha Bible Church where she enjoyed attending services and singing hymns. She loved to travel and take trips, especially to Walt Disney World where, in her younger years, she would conquer any roller coaster in sight.  She also enjoyed going out to eat with family, her favorite restaurant being Belgrade Gardens. Anyone who knew Sandra, knew how much she loved butterflies and the color purple. Sandra was able to make anyone laugh with her quick wit and canny responses. She lived a simple yet fulfilling life leaving her loved ones with countless memories to cherish. Sandra will be very much missed by her family, but we take comfort in knowing she is in heaven living life whole just as God intended.

The family would like to thank The Chapel Hill Community nursing home facility for taking care of Sandra during her final days.

Funeral service will take place THURSDAY, December 28, 2023 at 1:00 PM at the Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel, 85 N. Miller Rd., Fairlawn, OH 44333. Friends may call from 12:00 NOON until the time of service. Private interment will take place in Rose Hill Burial Park.
