Sara Criss-Pugh, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away May 16, 2010, after a short illness.
She was born March 14, 1935 in Rockford, Ala., and moved to Akron in 1937 after the death of her father, Clydus Murphy.
She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Lawrence and Ida Radabaugh. She is survived by loving husband, Eugene L. Pugh; daughter, Sheri Dr. Keith Bingham of Marshallville; son, Thomas Elfrida Criss and daughter, Cathy Phillip Smith of Akron; step-daughter, Karen Mike Grozan of Copley; grandchildren, Kelly Bingham of Saratoga Springs, N.Y., Kara Bingham of New York, N.Y., Kristin Bingham Jonathan McGuire of Orrville, Thomas Criss of San Juan, PR, Sara Criss of New York, N.Y., Kyle Grenfell of Clinton, N.Y., Kevin Grenfell of Akron, Katelyn Grenfell of Cuyahoga Falls, Mitchell, Miranda, Emily and Thomas Grozan of Copley; great-grandson, Kamdin McGuire of Orrville; brother-in-law, Robert Margaret Pugh of Atwater.
Special people in Sara's life were Evonne Falconbery, Vivian Minor, Mary Jane Camp, Karen Merlitti, Lori Hayes and many nieces and nephews. Special friend, Ping the dog.
To all lives Sara touched, she was known as Artist, Poet and Humanitarian.
