Sarah G. Gabriel, 99, passed away peacefully March 26, 2010.
Sarah was born June 20, 1910 in Rowley Regis, near Birmingham, England, and came to Akron in 1915. She graduated from old East High School and attended night classes for two years at the University of Akron. She worked at Goodyear Tire and Rubber for almost 46 years in the Shipping Office of all three plants. Sarah started to attend Goodyear Heights Presbyterian Church in 1915 where she was an Elder, a Deacon, and taught the Bethel Series Class. She sang in the choir and was a member of the Presbyterian Women and also belonged to the Goodyear Women's Blue and Gold Club.
Preceded in death by husband, Edward 1948; son, John 2007; sister, Annie Appel 1998; and brother, Arthur Ruston 2003; Sarah is survived by two nieces; two nephews and several great nieces and great nephews.
The family would like to thank Rockynol Ledges and Hospice of VNS for their care of Sarah.

Services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Billow FALLS Chapel, 1907 23rd St., Cuyahoga Falls, with Dr. Donard M. Engle officiating. Interment at East Akron Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home one hour before services. Should friends desire, memorials may be made to Hospice of VNS, 3358 Ridgewood Rd., Akron 44333.
