Sarah " Sally" Louise Mellott

Sarah "Sally" Louise Mellott, 78, died on November 23, 2016 after a long battle with Multiple Myeloma.

Sarah was born on February 21, 1938 in Akron, Ohio to the late Charles F. and Marcia E. Ream. She was a graduate of John R. Buchtel High School. She was a member of Bethany United Church of Christ, where everyone knew her as Sally. Sarah worked in the restaurant business at many locations and was part owner of The Lamp Post Restaurant. She also worked for many years at Kroger's and ICU Union Council.

Preceded in death by her husband, Calvin R. Mellott; she is survived by her daughters, Karen L. Mellott of Cuyahoga Falls and Sharon L. (David) Bishop of Diamond, Ohio; grandchildren, Richelle and Jimmy Bishop; brother, Frederick W. Ream of Columbus, Ohio; sister, Linda E. Sandy of Canal Fulton, Ohio; and many other relatives and friends.

A special thanks to Frederic Reu, M.D. and staff at the Cleveland Clinic, Taussig Cancer Institute for their excellent and kind care these past years.

Services will be held 1:00 p.m. WEDNESDAY, November 30, 2016 at the Billow FALLS Chapel, 1907 23rd St., with the Rev. Steven L. Welker officiating. Interment at Chestnut Hill Memorial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home from 11 a.m. until the service begins.
