Seamon ``Bill' Seals, 82, went home to be with the Lord Aug. 15, 2011.
He was born in Sylacauga, Alabama Dec. 25, 1928. He had been employed at B&W of Barberton and City Scrap of Akron. He was a member of First Grace United Church of Christ, 350 S. Portage Path.
Preceded in death by wife, Ruth; parents; three sisters; one brother; two sons; one daughter; and one great-grandson; he is survived by daughters, Minister Dorothy Perdue, Julia Michael Lee of Akron, Rev. Margaruitte Alistair Pugh of Canada, Kimberly Michael Lane of California; son, William Kim Seals of Akron; sisters, Kathryn Basbeo and Zelda Pless of New York and Sadie Swain of Akron; brother, Spurgeon Seals of Alabama; 13 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
A special thank you to the nursing staff at the Arbors at Fairlawn.
Services will be held 1 p.m. Thursday at the Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel, 85 N. Miller Rd., where friends may call one hour before services. Interment at Mount Peace Cemetery. Condolences may be sent to 1359 Bellows St., Akron 44301 or 937 Owen Ave., Akron 44311.
