Sherman Roy Roach, 86, passed away December 29, 2009.
Born in Akron, he resided in Doylestown the last 35 years. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, member of Adoniram-Joppa Lodge #517 F&AM and had retired from Bender Loudon Motor Freight. He loved gardening and being outdoors.
Preceded in death by his first wife of forty three years, Evelyn; parents, Clyde and Mary; brothers, James and Arthur; stepson, Thomas Jackson; grandson, Michael Humble and brother-in-law, Patrick Leonti; he is survived by his loving wife of twenty three years, Mary; sons, Randy Linda and Richard Judie Roach; stepdaughters, Tonnie Wilson and Terri Uhl; ten grandchildren; twenty three great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; brother, Robert Dottie Roach; five brothers-in-law of the Leonti family; numerous nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to extend special thanks to Dr. Roger Chaffee and staff and Kathy Wagner, R.N. of Hospice of Summa.
Services will be held 11 a.m. TUESDAY at the Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel, 85 N. Miller Rd., with Rev. Michael Shaub officiaiting. Interment at Rose Hill Burial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home on MONDAY from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association , 15120 Collections Center Dr., Chicago, IL 60693 or a charity of one's choice.
