Shirley A. (nee Ireton) Cook, 86, of Stow, Ohio passed away on Thursday, January 10, 2019. She was born September 12, 1932 to Charles B. and Flora Ruth (nee Owen) Ireton in Akron, Ohio.
She worked for O'Neil's and Sterling, Inc.; and was a member of Eastern Star, Yusef-Khan Caldron and attended Stow Alliance Fellowship Church.
Shirley was preceded in death by her husband, James F. Cook; her sons, Jeffery and Timothy Cook and her parents. She is survived by her four daughters, Susan (Terry) Mullen, Jeanene Cook, Joyce (Frank) Regester and Cindy (Eric) Kaleal; her 11 grandchildren: James, Adam, Darryl, Craig, Nicole, Renee, Tony, Alisa, Emily, Cady and Parker; and her six great-grandchildren and one great-granddaughter on the way.
Cremation has taken place, and she will be inurned at Rose Hill Burial Park. Per Shirley's request there will not be calling hours, but private family funeral service at the cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the ALS Association of Northeast Ohio, 6155 Rockside Rd., Suite 403, Independence, OH 44131 or the American Macular Degeneration Foundation, P.O. Box 515, Northampton, MA 01061-0515.
