Shirley J. Croft, 82, died Sept. 14, 2009.
Born in Massillon, she lived most of her life in Akron. She was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church, Akron Woman's City Club, George Washington Chapter of American Colonists, Salvation Army Home League, Cuyahoga Portage Chapter of D.A.R., D.A.C., Red Hatters, and was a volunteer at the Medina County Home.
Preceded in death by husband, Ronald B. and sister, Sara Hoover, she is survived by son, Terry Karen Croft; daughters, Susan Gene Stoker and Julie Randy Ruch; grandchildren, Mindy and Deb Stoker, Lindsey and Phillip Croft, Matt and Brett Monnot and Christian Ruch; many nieces and nephews; Bob Monnot; and faithful dogs, Madison and Clarabelle.
The family would like to thank special friend, Sue Arbuckle for her loving care and friendship.
A memorial service will be held 11:30 a.m. Friday at The Salvation Army Citadel with Capt. James Betts officiating. Private interment at Rose Hill Burial Park. Friends may call 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel, 85 N. Miller Rd. Should friends desire, memorials may be made to The Salvation Army, 190 S.
