Sidney S. Carver, 91, died September 10, 2009.
Born in Fredericksburg, Va., he retired from Firestone Tire and Rubber after 35+ years of service. Sidney served as a Sergeant in the U.S. Army during World War II in the 58th Quarter Master Sales Company of Fort Bragg.
Preceded in death by his loving wife, Jeanne C. Carver in June.
A graveside service will be held 11:30 a.m., Tuesday at Copley Cemetery. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Hospice Care Center, 3358 Ridgewood Rd., Akron 44333.
