Stanley Richard Dembosky

S. Richard Dembosky, 63, died September 22, 2009.
Born in Jersey City, N.J., he attended Case Institute of Technology and obtained his Bachelor and Master Degrees from the University of Akron. A teacher, Dick taught at Nordonia High School, was a media specialist and Assistant Professor of Aerospace Education at the NASA Lewis Research Center in Cleveland and retired from the Green Local School District. He enjoyed his retirement golfing with friends, walking with his pal, Peaches on the Tow Path, riding his bike, attending Drum Corp shows and playing darts.
Preceded in death by his parents, Stanley and Frances Dembosky; he is survived by his wife, Cheryl of Akron; siblings, Betty Sexton of Florida, Donald Dembosky of Minnesota, Steve Dembosky Brenda, Tom Dembosky and Diane Reish Scott, all of Akron.
Services will be held 10 a.m. SATURDAY at the Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel, 85 N. Miller Rd., with Minister David Flatt officiating. Interment at Northlawn Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at the funeral home FRIDAY 5 to 8 p.m.
Memorials may be made to the Hospice Care Center, 3358 Ridgewood Rd., Akron 44333 or to Edwin Shaw Rehabilitation Center.
