Susan Lynn Banker (Nee Barzditis)

Susan Lynn Banker (nee Barzditis) , 66, of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio passed away peacefully on July 18, 2023. Sue was born March 24, 1957, in Akron, Ohio to Walter and Janice Barzditis. She graduated from Cuyahoga Falls High School in 1975. She received a degree in Social Work from the University of Akron, a profession she dedicatedly worked in during her adult life.

Sue found joy in her many worldwide travels with friends, as well as her knitting, holiday baking, her many pets, drum class with friends, Cambridge and “Phelps” connection, music, and Elton John concerts.

Sue was preceded in death by her father Walter, brother Tim and husband Tom. She is survived by her mother Janice; brother Tom (LtCol USMC Ret), sister-in-law Nancy DeLapa Keny; nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephew, and numerous lifelong friends, many of whom were like sisters. Sue enriched the lives of those who knew her beyond measure with her kind soul and gentle spirit. She was so loved and appreciated.

The family would like to thank the Western Reserve Hospital ICU Staff for their professionalism, compassionate support, and care for Sue and her family and friends.

A memorial service will be at 1 PM on SATURDAY, July 22, 2023, at the Billow FALLS Chapel, 1907 23rd St. Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio 44223 with Rev. Barry Chance officiating. Family and friends may visit from 11-1 PM on Saturday prior to the service.
