Susan Sobiech Peters

May 28, 1950 — December 26, 2018

Susan Sobiech Peters, age 68, peacefully passed away at Maplewood Senior Living, on December 26, 2018. She was born in Cleveland, Ohio on May 28, 1950 to the late Theodore and Evelyn Sobiech.
Susan attended Holy Name High School and graduated in 1968. She was employed at US Steel before the birth of her daughter, Ashley. Susan devoted her life to her daughter and grandsons. She made every day remarkable for those she loved. Her nicknames included Suzy Sunshine and Mrs. Sparkles. She will be remembered for her kindness and ability to talk to anyone.
She is survived by her daughter, Ashley Peters (Tom) Haskins; grandchildren, Liam and Declan Haskins; and sister, Patty Sobiech (Josh) Halper. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Kathy (Sobiech) Peters.
The family wishes to thank Harbor Light Hospice and Maplewood at Cuyahoga Falls for their excellent care.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held 9:30 A.M. MONDAY at St. Hilary Catholic Church, 2750 W. Market St., Fairlawn 44333. Interment will be at All Saints Cemetery in Northfield. Visitation will be held from 2-4 P.M. SUNDAY, at Billow Fairlawn Chapel, 85 N. Miller Rd., Fairlawn 44333. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 70 W Streetsboro St. Suite 201, Hudson, OH 44236 or www.alz.org .
