Susan Marie Schoenstein

Susan Marie VanAntwerp Schoenstein, age 59, of Bath, suddenly passed away on January 2, 2013. She was born in Akron on August 22, 1953 to John and Milora Beachy VanAntwerp.

She is survived by her children, Heather (Brian) Oakes, Holly (Shawn Turner) Schoenstein, Kara (Christopher) Jackowski; loving grandchildren, Jayden and Carson Oakes, Marit Schoenstein Turner, Anna and Colin Jackowski; siblings, Sarah (Richard) Doncaster, Robert (Ursula) VanAntwerp, Elizabeth VanAntwerp Brillhart.

Sue was a Cuyahoga Falls High School alumna and member of the Cuyahoga Falls Marching Band. She earned a degree in Finance from The University of Akron and focused her professional years on business administration and education. She enjoyed being a substitute teacher at various local schools. She was filled with drive and persistence getting her through life's forks in the road. Sue had a talent for music, and found joy playing her piano and flute. She enjoyed free time with her parents and dear friends. Sue treasured family and adored her grandchildren.

Celebration of Life Memorial service will be held by Pastor Jean Hansen at 2 p.m., Saturday, January 19th at Faith Lutheran Church, 2726 West Market Street, Fairlawn, Ohio 44333. Opportunity to greet the family prior to the Memorial Service will begin at 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Diabetes Society, 4500 Rockside Road, Suite 440, Independence, Ohio 44131.
