Susan E Schueler
Our dear Susan has found her new home. While we will miss her sharp wit and carefree attitude we celebrate her release from the ravages of the brain aneurysm she suffered more than two years ago. The promise of her restoration in Heaven is reason for joy. Susan's physical challenges these past two years gave her insight and understanding of her need to become rooted in Christ's love and mercy. The brain injury put her on the path to Heaven.
Susan Elizabeth Schueler was born December 11, 1964 in Barberton, Ohio, and died peacefully January 24, 2018 in Middleburg Heights. She was the daughter of Karen Callahan (nee Kooistra) and Peter H. Schueler. She attended elementary schools in Peninsula and Fairlawn, Litchfield Junior High and Firestone High School. She also attended The Ohio State University and Columbus College of Art and Design.
Susan had a rare creative talent which was manifested in several different artistic avenues such as drawing, jewelry making and graphic design. Although she never had a specific career, she had many different jobs throughout her life, most having customer service in common. She was a voracious reader and she loved animals. She had a sharp, and often sarcastic, wit which became very popular with her friends and her social media circles. She never lost that sense of humor, even in her last days at the nursing home she endeared the staff to her by entertaining them with unexpected, and often unfiltered, comments.
Susan leaves her parents, Peter and Karen; stepmother, Kathy; siblings, Cynthia (Kevin) Kelly, Kurt Schueler (Brian), Peter "Hank" Schueler Jr. (Laurie), Alexandra (Timothy) Weeks and Seth Schueler; nephews, Kevin Jr, Jacob and Lucas Kelly; nieces, Jane and Sarah Schueler; cousin, Nathaniel Kooistra, as well as uncles and cousins.
Susan's memory will endure in the hearts and minds of those who knew her. We will treasure the time she spent with us and give praise for her deliverance. We thank her many friends for their thoughts and prayers.
We ask that in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to One Of A Kind Pet Rescue in Akron Ohio.
