Teruko (Terry) Davis

Teruko (Terry) Davis passed away peacefully in her sleep on August 8th to join her beloved husband, Bob.

She was born in 1933 to Kikuji and Giin Ishizuki in Sapporo, Hokkaido, Japan. Terry had an adventurous heart. She left her home in the Japanese countryside to work at a US Military base several hours away where she met the love of her life, her husband Bob. This was after she grew up with American bombers flying overhead during World War II. She took a leap of faith and married this American Gl who brought her to the United States where they built their life together. She left not knowing whether she would ever see her family again.

Terry is preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Robert (Bob) Davis, her son Edward Davis, and her son-in-law Steve Overbeck. She is survived by her Children, Mary Kay (John) Chlebina, Frances Overbeck, and Joseph (Mary) Davis; Sisters, Kazako Ishizuki, Toshiko and Nobuko Kato; Grandchildren, Autumn (Mark) Vanzant, Michelle Davis, Courtney Chlebina (Yasha Shahidi), Tyler Davis, Taylor Chlebina, Spencer Chlebina, and Jack Overbeck; Great-grandson Anthony Vanzant; and her best friend these last 5 years, her dog Gizzy.
