CUYAHOGA FALLS --Thelma M. Karamelo, 97, died December 24, 2009.
Born in Rockwood, Pa., she was a member of St. Lukes Lutheran Church. She attended Hammel Business College, was a member of the Akron Woman's City Club and Silver Lake A.A.R.P., and had volunteered at Preston and Newberry Elementary Schools. Along with her husband, Spiro, Thelma owned and operated the Congress Restaurant in Akron for many years.
Preceded in death by husband, Spiro; three brothers and a sister; she is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Sandra and Ronald Johnson of Cuyahoga Falls; many other family members and friends.
Services will be held 11 a.m. TUESDAY at St. Lukes Lutheran Church with Pastor Robert Linsz officiating. Interment at Rose Hill Burial Park. Friends may call at the Billow FALLS Chapel, 1907 23rd St., 4 to 7 p.m. MONDAY. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the St. Lukes Building Fund, 2121 6th St. Cuyahoga Falls 44221, Cuyahoga Falls Good Neighbors, P.O.
