Thelma R. Weimer, 86, died March 18, 2010.
A devoted wife of 63 years, mother and grandmother, Thelma was raised in Firestone Park where she graduated from Garfield High School. She also completed several years of college. Thelma and her family resided in Cuyahoga Falls for 25 years before moving to Akron in 1976. A member of St. Vincent Parish, she enjoyed reading, tennis, bridge, gardening and spending time with family and friends. She was an active member of the Akron Woman's City Club.
Preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Genevieve Wells, she is survived by her husband, Paul E.; children, David P. Tonya Weimer, William B. Margaret Weimer, Mark Jeannine Weimer and Rebecca M. Kenneth Kline; grandchildren, Jared Melissa, Paul LaRissa, D. Ryan, William E., Lauren and Kyle Weimer, Jenna and Caroline Kline, and Alexa Weimer; great-grandchildren, Marah, Avery, Brooke, Eliza, Mark and Ruth Weimer; sister, Jeanette Ondecker and many extended family members and friends.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 9:30 a.m. MONDAY at St. Vincent Catholic Church. Interment at Chestnut Hill Memorial Park. Friends may call at the Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel, 85 N. Miller Rd., SUNDAY from 2 to 5 p.m. Should friends desire, memorials may be made to St. Vincent Catholic Church, 164 W. Market St., Akron, OH 44303.
