Theodora E. Calle, 87, passed over on Thursday, January 12, 2012.
Born October 9, 1924, in Akron, she was a member of Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, the Philoptochos Society Melissa, and Fairlawn Country Club for many years. She was active in the Akron Children's Hospital TWIG volunteer group, and she greatly enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She will be dearly missed and will always be remembered with love.
Preceded in death by her husband, James Calle; her son, Christopher Calle; her daughter, Eugenia Calle; and granddaughter, Marisa Ley; she is survived by her daughter, Cindy Ley Darryl; grandchildren, Matthew, Michael, Marianna and Melina Ley and Alexis Calle; sisters, Chris Taylor and Mary Anastos; brother-in-law, Jerry Roubenes, and nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be held on Monday, January 16, at 11 a.m. at Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, 129 S. Union St., Akron, with Rev. Fr. Jerry Hall, celebrant. Interment at Rose Hill Burial Park. Friends may call at the Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel, 85 N. Miller Rd., Sunday from 1 to 4 p.m., with a Trisagion service at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Building Fund of Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, 129 S. Union, Akron 44304, or to a memorial of your choice.
