Theodore G. Pappas (Ted), born December 23, 1929 in Ravenna, Ohio, the son of Gust and Helen Pappas (deceased), died Friday, February 22, 2013.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Cunningham Pappas whom he married May 2, 1965 at the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church. Ted is also survived by a son, George G. Pappas; daughters, Marie Pappas and H. Ann (John) Hanchulak and their children, Dorothy and John Alexander affectionately known as "Alex" to his family. He is also survived by one brother, Thomas G. (Susan) Pappas and their children, Elaine, Thomas and Andrew; one uncle living, Andrew Sarafianos of Athens, Greece; cousin, George (Eva) Gatsinaris and their children of Cerritos, Calif.; brother-in-law and sister in law, William and JoAnn Nichols and children of Chardon, Ohio and brother-in law, Richard Cunningham of Akron, Ohio; niece whom he babysat as a baby, Erin (Shawn) Metcalf and children. He is also survived by Brenda Alderson who is part of the family; several nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by in-laws, Earl and Hazel Cunningham, Pauline Jackson, Donald and David Cunningham.
Service will be held 11 a.m., at the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, 129 S. Union St., Akron, OH 44304 with Rev. Fr. Jerry F. Hall and Rev. Fr. Andrew Lintz officiating. Entombment at Mt.
