Thomas Duncan

Thomas R. Duncan, 94, died Aug. 11, 2013.

A life resident of Akron, he was a member of First Assembly of God. He served as a sergeant in the Army during World War II receiving 7 bronze stars.

Preceded in death by wife, Calipso; brothers, William and Grant; sisters, Mary and Evelyn; half brother, Pete and half sister, Vaughn; he is survived by son, Tim; and many nieces and nephews.

Services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday at the Billow Fairlawn Chapel, 85 N. Miller Rd., with Rev. Kent Jarvis officiating. Interment at Rose Hill Burial Park with Military honors by American Legion Post 291. Friends may call at the funeral home 4-7 p.m. Wednesday. In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758517, Topeka, KS 66675. (Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel)
