Thomas C. Gates

Thomas Charles Gates, age 87, passed away peacefully April 9, 2025.

He was born November 3, 1937, in Harrisburg, PA; son of the late Jacob and Cecelia (nee James) Gates. Thomas lived in Commodore, PA and moved to Akron, OH in the 1940s.

Preceded in death by his parents, and his loving wife, Dawn (nee Wilson) Gates.

Thomas is survived by his devoted sons, Marc (Lisa) Gates and Scott (Alison) Gates; cherished daughter, Jodi Gates; treasured grandchildren, Jordan Gates, Erin (Andrew) Story, Connor Gates, Riley (Chad) Cawthorne, and Claire Williams; beloved great grandchildren, Eleanor Story, Dean Story, Porter Cawthorne and Calvin Cawthorne.

Celebration of Life will take place SATURDAY, May 3, 2025, from 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm at 860 Eagles Chase Dr. Akron, Ohio 44313.
