Thomas Michael Mclaughlin

Thomas Michael McLaughlin passed away peacefully on March 04, 2024 with family at his side. He was 74 years of age. He passed away at The Cleveland Clinic Akron General in Akron, Ohio, due to complications from a stroke.

Tom is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Tina; and his children, Michael (Heather) McLaughlin, Jackelyn McLaughlin, and Patrick McLaughlin. He also has two grandchildren, Hannah and Emily McLaughlin. He also left behind his brother, David (Yvonne) McLaughlin; his niece, Alison (Eric) McLaughlin; his great niece, Genevieve Marie; and stepsister, Anna Marie (Fred) Frederick; as well as many other loving extended family members.

The son of the late James McLaughlin and Marie (Gus) Constantine, Tom was born on February 19, 1950, in Akron, OH. He lived and grew up in Akron attending Central High School. On February 7,1976, he married Christina Thyr and lived in Akron until moving to North Canton, OH in 2021. He worked at Flowers by Gus for approximately 20 years and then over 30 years with Canton Wholesale Floral. He also served in the National Guard.

Tom was a loving father who always worked hard. He enjoyed greeting strangers and making small talk wherever he went. He loved family gatherings, serving, and enjoying food and fellowship, especially desserts and treats.

Memorial Service 2 P.M. SUNDAY March 17th, 2024 at the Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel, 85 N. Miller Rd., Akron, OH 44333. A Celebration of Life will immediately follow at Billow's. All are welcome to stay, share memories of Tommy, and celebrate the joy he brought to everyone.
