Thomas Todaro , 69, climbed the ‘Stairway to Heaven’ February 26, 2023 after a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by the ones closest to his heart.
Tom was born in Cleveland, Ohio on June 29, 1953. He later moved to Akron in 1959 with his family, where he worked for the family business, Todaro’s Imported Foods, and later at Todaro’s Party Center in 1976. He was a proud graduate of Copley High School in 1971.
Tom had a love for music, family, friends, poker, and above all else, food, but the thing he loved most was the memories he made with the people around him, but most importantly his family. No matter where he went he never knew a stranger. Whether it was a quick chat, a night out with friends, or a meal with the family, he made an impression on everyone he came in contact with. He will be remembered for his love of life, amazing stories, friendly demeanor, Tommy Bahama shirts and Rolling Stones hats.
Thomas is preceded in death by his father, Camillo Todaro. Tom is survived by his mother, Mary; brothers, Joseph (Maureen), Mel (Karen), and Frank; children, Dina, Victor, Mary, Lisa and Francesca; and grandchildren, Bianca, Tessa, Dylan, Michael, And Aris.
