Tim Fitch, 59, passed away December 28, 2011 after suffering a brain aneurism.
Born in Akron, he was a 1971 graduate of Firestone High School. Tim was a kind soul - loved by everyone. He was a fixture at Lanning's Restaurant for 40+ years. He played softball for 15 years with Dietz Landing and made many lasting friendships. He enjoyed working in the yard and around the house with his wife. Tim loved his Cleveland Indians!
Preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Mary Jane; he is survived by his loving wife and best friend of 15 years, Pat; brother, Rudi Mary Ulrich; sisters, Mary Jane Tom Parks, Jennifer Joe Zuravel; niece and nephew, Tommy and Emily Parks; nephew, Joseph Zuravel, Jr.; sisters-in-law, Nancy Dan Fay, Mary Anne Dick Krejci; and many other loving relatives and friends.
A special thank you to Dr. Ghassan Khayyat and his team, Dr. John Kromalic, all the nurses and staff at Akron General Medical Center ICU and everyone at Hospice on Ridgewood.
A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Monday, January 2nd at the Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel, 85 N. Miller Rd., Akron with Pastor LeRoy Grosh officiating. Friends may call 12 to 3 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Bath Rescue and Fire Department, 3864 W. Bath Rd., Akron, OH 44333 or Hospice of VNS, 3358 Ridgewood Rd., Akron, OH 44333.
