Tracy E. Zook, 51, of Doylestown, passed away suddenly September 6, 2018. She was born June 16, 1967, in Akron, to Ken and Sue (Gleason) Spencer. She married Douglas Zook, Jr. on October 7, 1989, and was a loving mother to Jacob, Magdalena and Rebecca.
Tracy graduated in 1985 from Copley High school and in 1989 from the University of Akron. She was for many years a preschool teacher in East Cleveland, Norton and Doylestown, before working the past 14 years in interior design for Jones Group Interiors in Akron.
At St. Paul's Episcopal Church over the years she participated in the St. Cecilia Choir, taught Sunday School and was a member of the flower and altar guilds. A dedicated volunteer, she had served as president of the Hazel Harvey Parent-Teacher Organization and the Chippewa Fire Department Auxiliary,and was a long-time Girl Scout troop and district leader.
She is survived by her husband of 29 years, son Jacob (Bethany), daughters Magdalena and Rebecca, parents Ken and Sue Spencer of Bath, brothers Michael (Barb), Douglas (Tracey) and Todd (Laurie), and sisters Amy (Omer) Imrek and Lori (Aaron) Betz, along with many nieces and nephews, all of whom she cherished.
Memorial service will be 2:00pm SATURDAY, September 15 at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 1361 W. Market St., Akron, Ohio 44313, with a reception and calling hours following at 3:00pm at the Church. Should friends desire, memorial gifts may be made to St. Paul's Episcopal Church or the Chippewa Fire and Rescue Association, 464 Gates St., Doylestown, Ohio 44230. (Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel)
