Vic N. Mullenax, Sr., 77, passed away April 11, 2013.
Born in Elkins, W.Va., he was a U.S. Air Force Veteran and member of the VFW and American Legion. An avid bowler, he retired from Consolidated Freightways with over 30 years service and three million miles safe driving.
He was a beloved husband, father and grandfather. Vic was preceded in death by his parents, Milton and Letha Mullenax; brother, Girard and sister, Wanda Lee Vance. He is survived by Vivian, his wife of 53 years; daughters, Lynn Thompson (Art), Cindy Tuttle and Jeanne Barlow (Ron); son, Victor N. Mullenax, Jr. (Angel); grandchildren, Brad, Shannon, Brittany, Tabitha and Christopher; brothers, Cliff (Charlotte) and Roger (Johny) Mullenax; sisters, Bonnie Swecker, Jean Nelson (Doug), Nelda Smith (Don), Eleanor Arbogast (Mike), Norma Thompson (Bob), Irene McDuffie (Pete) and Thelma Vance (Tom); many other relatives and special friends.
Service will be held 11 a.m. MONDAY at the Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel, 85 N. Miller Rd., with Dr. Donard M. Engle officiating. Interment at Fairview Cemetery, where Firestone VFW Post #3383 will conduct military rites. Friends may call at the funeral home SUNDAY, from 4 to 8 p.m.
