Vicky L. Nolan

March 16, 1950 — October 19, 2016

Vicky Lynn Nolan, passed away peacefully Oct. 19, 2016 at the age of 66 surrounded by loving family and friends. She fought a courageous 4 month battle with pancreatic cancer.

Vicky was born on March 16, 1950, in Canton, Ohio. A devoted daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother and friend, Vicky will be remembered for her kind and gentle spirit and her beauty that radiated from the inside out. She was a hard worker, extremely thoughtful, meticulous and organized with any task she took on. A "go to" person at work, Vicky was greatly missed when she retired in March of this year from the law firm of Perantinides and Nolan. While she missed the comradery of her colleagues, her retirement was a blessing in disguise, giving her the opportunity to spend quality time with her family and friends and time in her garden.

Through her love of gardening and dedication to making life beautiful for others, Vicky created a backyard sanctuary where family and friends often gathered to laugh and relax. In her garden she would sip mojitos with her daughters while reminiscing about the past or talking about their latest shopping excursion and laughing about the funny antics that always seemed to accompany their bargain finds. It was also the place where she would spend time playing and laughing with her grandchildren and relaxing with her husband Chris, where they would often talk about what a blessed life they shared together. Her family meant everything to her.

Vicky would also draw inspiration from her garden for planning family gatherings or organizing her next garage sale. She loved to entertain and always took great care in making each event extra special. From birthday parties to holiday events, no matter what the occasion, Vicky had the perfect decorations to make it a fun and festive event everyone enjoyed. It wasn't just her parties that were perfectly outfitted for the occasion. Vicky's love of clothes and shopping was no secret - her garage sales could easily put Macy's out of business. Although always dressed impeccably, her dazzling smile was her greatest and constant accessory and will forever be remembered in the hearts and memories of all that were blessed to know her.

Vicky was preceded in death by her father, Floyd Steiner. She will be forever missed by her loving husband, Chris; loving daughters, Amy Nobil and Lori (Steve) Parrino; step daughter, Kelly (Steve) Shumaker; grandchildren, Haley Hanchin, Jack and Enzo Parrino and Jake and Emily Shumaker; mother, Betty Echols; brother, Dan Steiner; as well as countless friends who will miss her dearly but whose lives are all richer for having known her.
