Virginia M. Knowlton, 84, passed away June 30, 2011.
Born in Akron, August 15, 1926 to Arnold and Leticia Farkas, she was a graduate of the University of Akron. She was a member and past president of Alpha Delta Pi Sorority, the Akron Woman's City Club, and had belonged to the Women's Committee of the University of Akron. Virginia lived much of her life in Canada, Holland, Germany and Mexico with her husband who worked for B.F. Goodrich.
Preceded in death in 1984 by her husband, Richard A. Knowlton; she is survived by her son, Robert S. of Dallas, TX; daughter, Jeanne M. Charley Freeman of Medina; grandchildren, Kathryn Keith Freeman-Rathbone, Richard, William and Charles Joseph Freeman.
Services will be held 11 a.m. WEDNESDAY at the Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel, 85 N. Miller Rd., with Rev. Mark W. Frey officiating. Interment at Rose Hill Burial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home one hour prior to the service
