Virginia F Thomen

Virginia F. Thomen, born January 25, 1921, in Wooster, Ohio, to Almeda and Paul Thompson, passed away on August 7, 2012 at the Hospice Care Center.

Virginia had worked at Curtis-Wright airplane factory, Veteran's hospital, O'Neil's, Kaufman's and WalMart. She belonged to Park United Methodist Church, PTA, Gideon's and had lived at Sumner on Ridgewood until a recent illness.

Preceded in death by husband, William Robert Thomen and daughter, Carol Snyder, she is survived by one sister, Elizabeth Minturn; three daughters, Martha Thomen of Hudson, Ohio, Diana Smith of Fort Smith, Ark., Patricia Harrison of Bel Air, Md.; ten grandchildren, Robin Darchuk, Jeremy Smith, Amy Campbell, Matthew Smith, Mark Smith, Laura Tress, Michael Smith, Elizabeth Harrison, Sandra Harrison, Grace Harrison; five great-grandchildren, Raquel Campbell, Saphire Campbell, Leilani Campbell, Serynity Smith and Damian Smith.

Service will be held 7 p.m. FRIDAY at the Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel, 85 N. Miller Rd., with Dr. Linda Somerville officiating. Private interment Saturday at Union Cemetery, Columbus, Ohio. Friends may call at the funeral home FRIDAY from 4 to 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Camp Sychar, P.O. Box 708, Sunbury, Ohio 43074.
