The family gives thanks for the life of Vivian E. Lindenberger. Vivian E. Lindenberger, died May 6, 2010.
Born in Bedford County, Pa., she was a long time resident of Cuyahoga Falls.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Daniel and Pearl Crissman; brother, Jack, following a World War II illness; and sisters, Virginia and Jean Leitch. She is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, Richard E. Lindenberger; sons, Richard B. Tonie Lindenberger of Canton, Mich., Jeffrey K. Margaret Lindenberger of Bath, Ohio; grandchildren, Meghan and Daniel.
Vivian was a registered nurse, having worked as a staff nurse, school nurse, nursing instructor, Director of Nursing and Nursing Home Administrator in Pennsylvania, Missouri, and Ohio. She was a homemaker for many years and foremost was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She was faithful member of Cuyahoga Falls St. Luke's Lutheran Church where was an active member of the Women of ELCA, a Red Cross Blood mobile volunteer, and the Senior Day Center board. She was a member of Akron Woman's City Club, and leaves many friends made through the years throughout the U.S., especially the special friends at St. Luke's and the very dear friends of 50 years in her Dutch Treat Club.
The family would like to thank Dr. Ross Black for the tender care he provided during Vivian's lifetime and Diane and Kriston, nurses on six East at Akron City Hospital for the extraordinary care at the end of Vivian's life.
Service will be held 11 a.m. MONDAY at St. Luke's Lutheran Church with Rev. Robert Linsz officiating. Entombment at Rose Hill Burial Park. Friends may call 2 to 5 p.m. SUNDAY at the Billow FALLS Chapel, 1907 23rd Street, Cuyahoga Falls.
