Wallace Knute Meek

Wallace Knute Meek, 79, passed away March 11, 2013 as a result of renal failure.

Knute was born in Copley and was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict. He worked as a field engineer at B.F. Goodrich, retiring from Michelin in 1995 and was a member of Bath United Church of Christ.

Preceded in death by brother, William; he is survived by his wife of 28 years, Judy; daughter, Lori (Tom); son, John (Babs); three grandsons; and brother, David.

A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. THURSDAY at the Bath United Church of Christ with Rev. Mark W. Frey officiating. Interment with military honors at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery following the funeral service. Friends may call at the Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel, 85 N. Miller Rd. on WEDNESDAY, from 4 to 7 p.m. At his request, memorial donations may be made to Stewart's Caring Place, 2955 W. Market St., Akron, OH 44333 or to the Bath United Church of Christ Building Fund, 3980 W. Bath Rd., Akron, OH 44333.
