Wanda G. Harrison, age 91, died peacefully Friday, April 10, 2009 at Pebble Creek Nursing Home; special thanks to the staff who took such good care of her.
Wanda was born May 16, 1917 in East Liverpool, Ohio to Inez Flesher and Roy Hanna. She attended various schools as a child and young adult, but was mostly educated as the result of being a voracious reader and avid crossword puzzle solver. She worked at a few different jobs, most notably the U.S. Postal Service, at which she memorized every zip code in the U.S.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 19 years, David Harrison; daughter-in- law, Carol Harrison; grandson, David Harrison III. She is survived by her sons, Dave and Dan Harrison; daughter-in-law, Lindy Harrison; grandchildren, Margaret Beasley, Laura Harrison Stephanie Eberle, Missy Fife Jerry, and Daniel Harrison Keri-Anne; great-grandchildren, Kate and Julie Beasley; she was also survived by Susie, her best friend of 60+ years. She was a wonderful mom, wife, grandma, and friend to us all.
Per the family's request, there will be no services or calling hours. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Louisville Public Library, 700 Lincoln Ave., Louisville, OH 44641.
