Warren Rasmussen born December 31,1951 to Frank L. and Dorothy P. (Bauer) Rasmussen in Mayfield Heights, Ohio succumbed to a five year battle with pancreatic cancer on July 14th, 2024.
A stoic man of few words, he showed his love by being an excellent provider for his family. Warren strove to make everything around him better. He had an incredible work ethic, and was a good example to the people in his life. He worked hard to care for his family, beginning his career as an electrician with Ohio Bell as a teen, and he moved on to Republic Steel at age twenty-one. Warren had many occupations including owning his own business, often having two or three jobs at a time. After retiring from Goodyear in Akron, he continued working as a USW safety trainer, traveling all over the country.
Warren was a talented woodworker, gardener, builder, plumber, mechanic, and much more. Truly a renaissance man, he was always learning and knew how to fix or build just about anything. He also enjoyed traveling, cars, cooking and eating good food, and spending time with friends and family in Disney World.
He was a devoted caregiver to his wife Patrica for many years until her passing in April, 2024. Warren is survived by his children, Melanie (Scott Aschenbrener) Rasmussen, Amy(Jeff) Sterling, John(Jenna) Campbell, William(Tori) Campbell, Lisa(Dan) Featherstone, his brother Robert Rasmussen, and 14 grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life open house will be held July 25, 2024 from 5-8pm at Social House Venue, 4183 Wyoga Lake Road Stow, Ohio 44224.
In lieu of flowers, honor Warren’s memory by building something, having a good meal, learning a new skill, or admiring some beautiful marigolds, one of his favorites.
