Warren Skidmore, 87, died December 21, 2013.
Born in Akron January 12, 1926 to Ernest Corydon and Inez M. Stormer Skidmore, he was a graduate of North High School. Warren went on to study at St. John's College in Annapolis, MD and obtained a Master's Degree in Library Science from Kent State University. An avid genealogist who authored several books on the subject, he spent most of his career at the Akron-Summit County Public Library.
He is survived by his children, Elizabeth Roby McLain and Thomas Harrison Skidmore; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and long time companion, Sharon Lane.
At his request, there will be no calling hours or services. Memorials may be made to the Food Bank of Akron/Canton, 350 Opportunity Parkway, Akron, OH 44307. (Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel)
