William W. Bickett
William W. Bickett, 84, passed away September 7, 2008.
William was a U.S. Marine and served in World War II and the Korean Conflict. He was a member of St. Hilary Catholic Church, the V.F.W., American Legion, Sons of American Revolution, and the Knights of Columbus.
Preceded in death by his wife, Bernice; survived by sons, James Vickie, William Anne, Robert Jeanne; daughters, Sharon Steve Bauer, Janet Roger Barker; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and many other loving relatives and friends. The family wishes to thank the staff at Maison Aine for their loving care of William.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00 a.m. Friday at St. Vincent Catholic Church, 164 W. Market St., Akron 44303 with Fr. Thomas Gallagher officiating. Burial at Holy Cross Cemetery where military rites will be conducted by the Copley V.F.W. Post 7971, the American Legion 473, and the U.S. Marines. Friends may call 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel, 85 N. Miller Rd., Akron. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the resident's activity fund at Maison Aine, 2910 L'Ermitage Place, Stow, OH 44224.
