William Patrick Callahan

October 10, 1961 — February 12, 2025

Wadsworth

William Patrick Callahan, age 63, of Wadsworth, OH passed away on Wednesday, February 12, 2025, with his wife by his side. William was known by many names, Billy, Crashy, BoBo, Pat., Patrick, Bill and William. Born to William and Dorothy (Keller) Callahan. Patrick was employed for over 25 years at United Sales.

Besides his parents, Patrick was preceded in death by his daughter, Nicole and sister, Melissa Briggs.

Patrick is survived by his wife, best friend and soulmate of 34 years, Lisa. Along with sisters, Barbara (Ken) Barber and Erin Callahan. Nieces and Nephews, Aaron (Louise) Barber, Aimee (Greg) Bell, Andrea Briggs, Connor (fiance Katelyn) Herold and Olivia (fiance Griffin) Herold. Mother-in-law, Linda Herold and brother-in-law, Scott Herold, along with many great nieces and nephews. His obituary wouldn't be complete without adding his beloved cats- Phineas Jamison and Caicos.

To know Patrick, was to love him. He knew no stranger, taking up conversations was very easy for him. He always had a smile and big hug to those he greeted. Patrick had a devilish Irish personality. He could spin a tall tale with the best of his Irish kin. Patrick loved his cold beers, was a master charcoal barbecue/smoker -no gas grill was ever in his backyard. A die hard Cleveland Indians fan. A highlight in his life was going to game 7, of the World Series against the Cubbies. Traveling the Caribbean and East Coast provided us with memories for a lifetime. I'm sorry we weren't able to get back to his favorite island, Turks and Caicos. May in heaven may he be able to complete his journey in finding the perfect slice of pizza.

Patrick faced many medical challenges over the years. He always tried to put on a smile, even when life got hard. While facing death, Patrick sang Bob Marley's "Don't worry about a thing" to the family surrounding in his room. That sums up how he lived his life. Patrick would frequently say "it is what it is" and "don't sweat the small things".

He will be deeply missed by those who knew him, especially his wife, Lisa. A psychic once told us, we are soulmates and have been together in previous lives. This has given us hope we will be back together in our next life together, I only hope we get more time together the next time.

At his death, Patrick was a Life Banc donor. Donating his corneas.

We want to thank the kind, caring staff at Summa Barberton Hospital, who helped Patrick walk his final journey.

An Irish saying-" Those we love don't go away, they walk beside us every day, unseen, unheard, but always near, still loved, still missed and very dear".

Raise a pint, hug your family and don't worry about a thing, everything is going to be alright.........
