William H. "Hank" Hooverman, 82, passed away peacefully October 11, 2009.
Born in Akron, Hank lived most of his life in Cuyahoga Falls. He retired from Firestone Tire and Rubber in 1982 after 30+ years of service. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and the Korean Conflict.
Hank is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Joann; sons, Mark Melissa, Pete Diana; daughter, Cheryl Rick Warner; grandchildren, Marissa Chris Dove, Kelsie Hooverman, Jessica Warner, Audrey Hooverman and Ricky Warner; uncle, Frank Randall; good friend, Tom Weatherly.
A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday at the Billow FALLS Chapel, 1907 23rd St., Cuyahoga Falls, with Pastor Scott Baker officiating. Private burial at Oakwood Cemetery. Friends may call one hour prior to the service on Thursday. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Open-M, 941 Princeton St., Akron OH 44311.
