William Edward Lambert, 60, died December 18, 2008.
Born on March 23, 1948 in Akron, Ohio, he was the first born child of Donald and Jean Lambert. After attending public school in Akron, he went to his father's alma mater, Middlesex School in Concord, Massachusetts, where he excelled in sports and academics. Following graduation, he attended Hiram College. Bill had a brilliant mind, was a voracious reader and an excellent athlete who loved to play baseball. Throughout his adult life, he traveled the country and lived in various locales.
Preceded in death by his grandparents, Ted and Ruth Lambert and John and Bertha Thomas; and by his mother, Jean Thomas Lambert; he is survived by his father, Donald Lambert DeDe of St. Louis; brother, Tom Lambert of Grand Junction, Colorado; and sister, Nancy Reymann Pat of Akron, and their two children, Adam and Blake. The family is grateful that he is now at peace and is reunited with his grandparents and mother.
Private funeral services will be held on December 29th at St. Paul's Episcopal Church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Jean Thomas Lambert Foundation, 3800 Embassy Parkway, Suite 300, Akron 44333.
